Spirit Week starts on Tuesday, March 21!

St. Maria Goretti Spirit Week starts on Tuesday, March 21

During the week of March 21, students of St. Maria Goretti will be allowed to be out of uniform thanks to the leadership of the Student Council and the Athletic Association.

See the following list for more details:

On Monday, March 20 there is no school for students and teachers

Tuesday, March 21 is Pajama Day.  Students are allowed to wear their pajamas to school.  Please make sure the pajamas follow the dress code and are school appropriate.  For example, no flip-flops or slippers.  No strapless or micro-mini shorts.  If your child wears a one piece pajama, make sure she also wears shorts underneath.

Wednesday, March 22 is Crazy Hair Day.  Students can color their hair and wear it in any “crazy” hairstyle, but, please make sure the color comes out by the next day.

Thursday, March 23 is Hawaiian Day.  Dress us in your favorite Hawaiian shirts or Island themed outfits.  Make sure your clothing follows the dress code and is school appropriate.  For example, no strapless or revealing clothing.  If you don’t have a Hawaiian or Island-themed outfit, you may wear bright colored clothes.

Friday, March 24 is Red & White Pep Rally Day.  The whole school will honor the athletes that represent our school in various sports.  Student Council will sponsor a “Spirit Stick Contest.”  Each class creates a cheer using the three phrases “SMG,” “Spirit,” and “Cougars.”  Student Council members listen to each cheer and select the best one.  The winning class receives the “Spirit Stick.”  Everyone wears combinations of Red & White and/or their Sports Jerseys to school.  A pep rally will take place at 2:00pm in the School Lunchroom.  The Benefit Games will take place in the evening at Guerin Prep High School.  Parents are welcome to join us at both of these events.

If you have any questions, please call the main office at 1-847-678-2560. Go Cougars!
