Kindergarten Curriculum

The kindergarten class learns the letters of the alphabet through weekly themes, integrated throughout the curriculum and daily centers.

Children in kindergarten are engaged in small group work each day during centers, focusing on math, reading, writing, art, and listening activities.  The social development of the children is promoted and encouraged during snack time, play time, centers, and many other opportunities during the day.

Students in kindergarten also learn concepts in religion, math, science, reading, and social studies each day.  Through hands-on learning opportunities, students are actively involved in these subject areas on a daily basis, providing them with a strong foundation of concepts to build on in future years at St. Maria Goretti.
The students in kindergarten experience many new opportunities during the year, including meeting new friends and teachers, which enable them to grow and develop in many ways throughout the school year!
